Responsibility of All Tellico Riders
- Notify the Ride Captain 72 hours in advance—via website signup or email —your intentions to ride in the upcoming ride. No notification is needed for Show Up and Ride rides.
- Remember, if you do not RSVP for an organized club ride, the Ride Captain may ask you to not ride if there are not enough Ride Captains and Sweeps for another group of riders.
- Show up on time with a full tank of gas.
- Make sure your bike is serviced and road worthy. See the T-CLOCS-Inspection Checklist for items to check and what to look for during the inspection.
- Review and understand group riding dynamics, located on our Website under Safety/Group Riding, including hand signals. And remember to pass the hand signal back to the rider behind you.
- In the event of an accident or if a rider pulls off, all riders (except the Sweep) should continue on and follow the Ride Captain. The last rider should begin flashing his or her headlight to notify riders in front; riders should continue to pass this along until the Ride Captain is aware of the problem. The Ride Captain will find a safe place for all bikes to pull off and await a call from the Sweep (or send a rider back to assess the situation and advise the Ride Captain). The rider immediately in front of the Sweep should consider stopping to assist the Sweep if it appears help is needed
